For Alexiel-Someone Needs to Make him Talk

Sameth's down in the main Bar working on the dragon for Felix, its still in the early stages but he's happy with how its progressing.

There's a good pot of tea on the table and some sandwiches for when he's at a good enough point to eat.

Alexiel is given a long and pale look,

"T.truly?"

"Truly." He nods seriously.

Sameth would like to believe him but he can't open The Book of the Dead so he must be mistaken,

"I.i didn't realize I did."

"It's in the blood." he says to his great nephew.

"I guess it must be."

Taking a sip of tea, Alexiel says, "Of course it is. You come from good stock."

Sameth nods and notices that Alexiel still has the limb,

"What do you think of the design?"

He looks it over. "Very delicate. Very fine work. It reminds me of Wulf's. My older brother."

"What kind of things does he make?"

"Things like this. No where near as good. He's our would-be Wallmaker." Alexiel laughs.

"Why only would-be and really not as good?"

"Because he's Abhorsen. He's just really good at making things."

"Oh. I can see that."

He gives a wry smile. "I suppose you got it from him."

"I guess."

"What is it going to do?"

[makesthings]

"A walking dragon for a small boy."

"A dragon. How fanciful." He seems interested.

"Its what his uncle requested."

"A surprise present? Even better."

"Yes, I'm enjoying the challenge of making it."

"Will it work on his world?"

"I'm not sure but I think it will."

"I know Charter made things don't work well on the other side of the Wall. But it'd be interesting to know if it will work on another world entirely."
