He sleeps for a long time but Sameth does wake up and simply lays there, everything hurts so he decides to not move.

Sabriel woke up too and is around and about but if anyone wishes to talk to Sam, he's not going anywhere for a while.

"What, its nice, thank you. Sorry."

Mia giggles slightly.

"What's to be sorry about? I was just curious. We know it's good, but I didn't eat it quite like that."

The 'we' is emphasized with a little pat to her belly.

"Just seems to be a good thing to say lately."

[gorgonfondness]

"You don't have to say it to me."

[makesthings]

"I guess not. How are you doing, Mia?"

[gorgonfondness]

"Fine, but excited. I've been told that I'll get to feel the baby kick soon."

She glances down towards her stomach and smiles.

"Draco and I have agreed to call him Cepheus."

[makesthings]

"That's an unusual name."

He tries to settle into some position that's comfortable which is slightly tricky.

[gorgonfondness]

"It's a constellation name, which is part of Draco's family tradition. And Cepheus has a star from Draconis, so we thought it was suitable."

She watches as he moves.

"Do you need something to get more comfortable?"

"No, I think I should be okay. How's your teaching going?"

[gorgonfondness]

"It's going fine. We'll have an alumni recital a week from today and I've already gotten some big hints that there will be a party afterward that I'm not supposed to know about."

[makesthings]

"That's nice that everyone wants to do that for you."

[gorgonfondness]

"It is, but it seems a little much all the time. Parties are nice, but they're even nicer when they're spread out."

Of course, she doesn't realize this is going to be something like Vane's makeshift baby shower for her and that she's gonna get FURNITURE.

Then she'll be all for this.

"Oh yeah, we don't have that many parties at home. The ones at Somersby could be fun."

[gorgonfondness]

"I don't know if I'll even want to go or not, to be honest," Mia says. "I plan on firedancing earlier in the day, so I might be tired."

[makesthings]

"Maybe you could just appear for a little while, that's what I do for state dinners."

[gorgonfondness]

"I suppose I could. And if there's trouble, I'll pick up some Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. Those can clear a room easily."

[makesthings]

"How do they do that?"

[gorgonfondness]

"When they say every flavour, they mean every flavour. The most pleasant ones taste like candy or fruit, but it's hard to stay at a party if you get one stuck to your teeth that tastes like sardines, earwax, or, Heaven forbid, vomit."

[makesthings]

"That's cruel and kind of brilliant."

[gorgonfondness]

She shrugs.

"I don't control what flavour they get. It's the luck of the draw. The students like to make games out of them. During my first year of teaching, one student soaked himself with a water spell after taking a dare to eat ten black pepper ones at once."

[makesthings]

"Well, yeah I can see how they'd be fun."

[gorgonfondness]

Mia nods and says, "Though sometimes distracting when it comes to class. It's why I reserve them for parties. And I have to say, while the bad flavours are really bad, the good flavours are really good. Some of the weird ones are pretty good, too, like eggplant or popcorn."

[makesthings]

"Its been a while since I've had popcorn. We used to make it sometimes in the halls."

[gorgonfondness]

"I wouldn't mind some popcorn. Ooo, or a movie night. Draco and I like watching movies sometimes."

[makesthings]

"I don't think I've ever seen a movie."
