He sleeps for a long time but Sameth does wake up and simply lays there, everything hurts so he decides to not move.

Sabriel woke up too and is around and about but if anyone wishes to talk to Sam, he's not going anywhere for a while.

"Mogget?" Teja says. "Did he speak of this to you?"

Yrael put Sameth up to this, and then came to his rescue? What was the Bright Shiner playing at?

He's still not looking at Teja since this all sounds horrible to say,

"Talked about how you don't mind me in the forge and he said that you don't mind the cats either."

[ostro_goth]

"No, for they are the forge cats, and I had Kitty and Ferdinand brought from a world especially because I wished to have them, and Count was given me by Death personified from another world, known as the Disc-World," Teja says. "And, of course, the secret fourth cat: - the white one, Mogget!"

Pause.

"One would assume that this should change the meaning of his words, somewhat?"

[makesthings]

That's rather a lot of information so he just looks up at Teja,

"So you don't mind me?"

[ostro_goth]

Oh Sameth!

"That is what I meant to say," Teja says.

[makesthings]

"Thank you since I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have a space to make things."

[ostro_goth]

"It is not just that," Teja says. "I would see you learn that which you yet lack."

[makesthings]

Sameth nods and sags a little onto the bed, his body's still quite tired,

"I know you can teach me of those things but I'm afraid not all of them."

[ostro_goth]

"Mogget will do the rest, one assumes," Teja says. "Even if it means that he will throw you in with dangerous foes much too big for you."

[makesthings]

That really not reassuring,

"I think I can find foes without any help. They do come looking for my family."

[ostro_goth]

"In that case," Teja says, "Mogget may have thought that Blodwen Rowlands was just right for you to show what mettle you are made of?"

[makesthings]

"I don't think I proved much since she healed from everything I threw at her."

[ostro_goth]

"But you have the courage to back up your skill," Teja says, "even if your skills still need some work."

[makesthings]

"I guess."

[ostro_goth]

"It makes sense," Teja says. "Believe me, Sameth! We mean you well, and yes, I do wish to have you around in the forge, and teach you to describe things, and whatever else you may learn from me."

[makesthings]

"I'd like that. What have you been working on lately?"

[ostro_goth]

"I have finished the fence or cage, for the base-ball field," Teja says.

[makesthings]

"Do you know when the game's going to be?"

[ostro_goth]

"In about ten days, I think," Teja says. "You should be recovered until then, enough to watch, and -- one would hope -- cheer me on."

[makesthings]

"Of course. I mean I'm already doing better."

Which really should give Teja an idea of how badly he was hurt.

[ostro_goth]

"You are," Teja says. "Y -- Mogget said you were poisoned, and that, one would assume, has already been healed."

[makesthings]

"Yes, it was difficult but the poison's out of my body."

His smile just fades since he knows how much that wore his mother out.

[ostro_goth]

"The medicine of the future is wondrous," Teja says, as he cannot imagine what else would have healed him.

[makesthings]

"My mother healed me."

[ostro_goth]

"Ahhh," Teja says. "So it was the sort of poison that needed magic to free you from?"
